This news of your demise came as a rude shock to me. How death always take away the good ones! I related with you only for the period I spent at the Agric Department, FCE, Abeokuta. I remember the ever smiling Mr Kolawole. You were a man with a good heart, loving, hard working and enterprising. Indeed, you lived a good life and impacted many lives. My prayer is that the good Lord will grant you eternal rest and also grant the family you left behind the fortitude to bear the lost. Rest on my very good lecturer.

"Oga", as I fondly called you sir, the news of your demise was received with great shock but we can't question God Almighty for calling you home at this time. Your good work and fatherly love for me during the time I spent with you is unqualified. You greatly inspired me and my friends to always strive for the best, you encouraged, motivated and assi us to bring out the best in us. Very difficult for people to understand we were not part of your family due to the way you took and treated us and up till today, we are still enjoying the good relationship with every members of the Kolawole dynasty. I couldn’t believe it when I heard that you had gone but who are we to query God. You touched every bit of my life when I was with you at Federal College of Education Abeokuta, you accommodated me and many of us, you fed us and cared for us as your soul brothers; well , continue to rest in the bosom of our Lord till we meet again, good night.

TRIBUTE TO AN ICON................. 'What man is he that liveth, and shall not see death?Shall he deliver His soul from the hand of the grave"? Psalm 89:48 It was with a great shock and heavy heart I received the news of your transition to glory. You were a devoted Christian, very caring and loving. Always smiling, but very serious. A teacher per excellence. I remember your song of admonition to me as a student then. "Omo ile we o, ka we re" Oju koko. UNCLE ONIYIDE sun re o. We shall greatly miss you. My prayer is that the good Lord shall uphold the family and grant us the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss. Heaven has gained a good soul. Sleep on beloved till the resurection morning.

Bro Kola, a loving family man and a good soldier of the Lord; who served the Lord in His generation. Your departure from the terrestrial to the celestial was too soon but I submit to God’s sovereignty whose thoughts and ways are not the same as ours. Saying that, we will miss you; will be an understatement. You are an embodiment of love, care, hospitality and comradery. Thank you for your smiles and your kindness. You fought a good fight of faith. Enjoy your sweet rest in the bosom of the Lord. Good night my brother and co-laborer in God’s vineyard. Adieu!!! Pastor Niyi Moses Bayewu

Words are not enough to say goodbye to a friend of fifty years or thereabouts. From age twelve in the same dormitory and sometimes sharing bed and beddings. The youthful, innocent sharing of time and space in Ilaro House at Egbado College, Ilaro will be unforgettable. Onikoko, as the call name, was coined from daddy's trade. Your demise is shocking, but we give God the praise for what you achieved. My sincere condolences to the whole Kolawole family and in particular the immediate family. May He grant your gentle soul, eternal rest in peace. Bye till we meet to part no more

Bro Oniyide, You were a man of many virtues, a man of honour, a hard working man, a true friend with sincere heart, no wonder you left very positive impacts in every circle in which you find yourself. You were true to yourself and never despised the days of little beginning – you transformed the smallest of ideas into great things and made big the return from the least expected ideas. I’ve watched you pick up several business ideas with the same zeal and positive attitude, you built and transformed them without shame or fear, to the envy of all. I salute your courage, your resilience and selflessness. When I think of you, sometimes I shed tears, life goes on from day to day but something is out of place. I battle with the choice of words to describe your death at this time, but I believe the Lord knows best, who are we to question the supremacy of God! “Boda mi Oniyide”, you are missed so dearly. I will give almost anything to once more see your smiling face. Continue to rest in the bosom of the Lord till we meet at His feet. O d'igba ! ==> Bola... Read more

Baba Kole as we fondly called him in our Department at the Federal College of Education Abeokuta where he worked before travelling abroad, was a very hard working and industrious quiet and responsible. Despite his sojourn abroad the Department remained a home he didn't forget. We love you but God loves you best. Continue to rest in the bosom of Christ your father. May the Lord Comfort the family he left behind.

Rest on the bosom of Jesus Egbon, a man of simple mien you always made us laugh when around you but all that is gone. We pray that God will uphold the rest of the Kolawole family. Adieu… On behalf of the entire Olopade family.
